Luanzhou City is located along the Luanhe River in North China's Hebei Province. After the Tangshan Earthquake in 1976, the city experienced an overall relocation, forming a parallel pattern of new and old areas.
The old town was once underdeveloped due to various historical problems. In order to solve the problem of old town reconstruction and explore the diversification of industrial development, Luanzhou City turned to cultural and tourism industry as a new path for urban development.
In 2012, the Luanzhou Ancient City Scenic Area was open for business, integrating elements of tourism, architecture and commerce.
Nowadays, the scenic area has over 700 merchants, activating the city's "night economy". The tourism industry has continued to boom.
The once-declined old city of Luanzhou is now rejuvenated and has become a well-known "Instagram-worthy location".
