Over ten enterprises recently signed contracts with Shenshanwan Technology Development Co. Ltd, the company that runs the initial project of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. The enterprises to settle in the zone include HIT Robot Group of the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone, Shenzhen Shenji Smart Technology Co. Ltd, and Teinyo (Shenzhen) Medical Robot Co. Ltd. Meanwhile, the Tsinghua University i-Space incubation project and JD Digits also inked strategic cooperation agreements with the zone.

As a demonstration area of the artificial intelligence industry and one of the three artificial intelligence clusters directly governed by Shenzhen city, South China's Guangdong province, the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone took the high-tech lead in the AI industry by establishing Shenshanwan Robot Town, which at about 13.5 square kilometers is set to be the largest such town in China.

The robot town will be characterized by a comprehensive industrial chain that integrates research and development, incubation and acceleration, production and manufacturing, system integration, terminal application, and exhibitions.

The clusters of the robot and artificial intelligence industries at Shenshanwan Robot Town signify Shenzhen’s development of the artificial intelligence industry and of scientific and technological innovation. They will attract more high-tech enterprises and talents to settle in, leading to even further development.

What’s more, the robot town’s sound industrial ecosystem, business environment and industrial services, its natural and cultural environment so suitable for living and working, as well as its transportation, education and health care infrastructure will promote stable development of individual enterprises, benefiting their staff.
