297 Dahua migrant workers participate in skills competition

The Dahua preliminary round of the 6th Guangxi Migrant Workers Skills Competition was held in Dahong Town of Dahua Yao autonomous county on Aug 9, with a total of 297 workers competing in various fields.

The 297 migrant workers from the county took part in the competition for 10 projects, including family services (housekeeping attendants, elderly care workers, and nursery teachers), house construction (laymen, reinforcement workers, fitters), catering services (Chinese cooks, restaurant attendants), and port terminal operations (forklift operators, welders).

There were one first prize, two to three second prize, and four to five third prize winners for each event, while contestants that did not win any of the aforementioned prizes were given an Excellence Award. In addition, the qualified contestants were awarded the five-level national vocational qualification certificate of the participating profession or the skill level certificate of Guangxi Migrant Worker Skills Competition (County Preliminary).
