Since the beginning of this year, the Supply and Marketing Cooperatives of Yizhou district, Hechi have made full use of its supply and marketing network to connect online and offline information, as well as broaden product circulation channels, helping impoverished households sell agricultural products and increase their income.

As of the end of June, the district's supply and marketing cooperative system had carried out three supply and marketing bazaars, established poverty alleviation products booths in farmer's markets of eight townships, as well as set up product counters in 13 supply and marketing cooperative supermarkets. A special section for poverty alleviation products was also opened on the e-commerce platform of the cooperatives to promote 21 local agricultural products. The sales amount of various agricultural products online and offline reached 246 million yuan ($35.43 million).

Supply and marketing cooperatives of Huaiyuan town and Beiya Yao township set up special areas for poverty alleviation products in farmer's markets. Each market arranged about 10 to 15 stalls for farmers in impoverished villages, with some offering preferential policies and others being operated by market personnel. The agricultural products of local impoverished households were sold by means of purchases, agency sales, and distribution.

The supply and marketing cooperatives in Beishan, Xiangbei and other towns set up counters in supermarkets to sell special poverty alleviation products. Beishan town signed production and sales contracts with local farmers in impoverished villages to guide them in scientifically planting high-quality rice, as well as for purchasing, processing, and packaging their products.

Desheng town used 14 ground cold storage facilities and cooperated with fruit industry companies to sign production and sales contracts with more than 6,000 farmers, instructing farmers to plant fruits and purchasing them for sales to Zhejiang province, Shanghai, Hunan province, Hebei province, Guangdong province, and other places in the country.

Qingtan village of Shibei town set up open space to develop "stall economy" for local farmers free of charge. Various daily necessities and special agricultural products were able to be sold at the stalls, which not only bolstered farmers’ incomes, but also promoted local economic development.
